Dañserlà – The Summer Bal Folk Festival in Erlangen

Welcome to the page of the new Summer Bal Folk Festival in Erlangen.

The idea of ”Dañserlà” is a French summer dance festival in and around the Erlanger Kulturforum Logenhaus (www.Kulturforum-Logenhaus.de) with great groups from France, Brittany, Germany and other countries where Bal Folk music is played.
The festival grounds are located in the center of Erlangen, within walking distance of the railway station, the pedestrian zone, the castle garden, restaurants, shops and ice cream parlors.

“Dañserlà” is made up of the two words “Danse” or “danser” (dance and dance) and “Erlangen”, which also includes “dans” (french: in) and “là” ( french.: there) can be found in the name. Finally the Bretons write the word for dance like this: “Dañs”.
The Tilde is therefore also a small indication that the Breton dances at the Bal Folk Festival are not to be missed, after all, Erlangen is the partner town of Rennes (the capital of Brittany).

For the “Dañserlà”, the entire property that surrounds the “Kulturforum Logenhaus” is transformed for four days and three nights to a festival grounds with beer garden, food tent, group overnight tents (please indicate it with your registration), WCs, etc.

One can use the showers directly next to the “Kulturforum Logenhaus” in the dormitory of the midwife students.

The first “Dañserlà” will take place from Thu, 6 July to Sun, 9 July 2017.
